Track Central: 2025 SEC Indoor Championships


BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Indoor postseason gets underway this weekend for Tennessee track & field as more than 40 UT athletes have traveled to Bryan-College Station, Texas, for the 2025 SEC Indoor Championships. The conference meet runs Thursday, Feb. 27, through Saturday, March 1, at Texas A&M’s R.A. ‘Murray’ Fasken Indoor Track & Field Facility.
 
The men’s pole vault squad kicks off the field events for UT at 5 p.m. ET Thursday, while Tennessee’s running events start at 6 p.m. with the men’s 200-meter prelims.
 
Friday’s action begins at noon ET with freshman Aidan Ifkovits making his SEC debut in the men’s weight throw. Running events start at 5 p.m. with a trio of Vols in the men’s mile prelims.
 
Day three commences with the men’s shot put at 4 p.m. ET. Running finals on the track start at approximately 5:05 p.m. with the men’s mile final and conclude with the women’s 4×400-meter relay at 8 p.m.

 The 2025 SEC Indoor Championships will be streamed all three days on SEC Network+, available online at espn.com/watch or the ESPN app. The broadcast crew includes Dwight Stones, Dan O’Brien, Larra Overton and John Anderson.
 
Live coverage will take place at the following times:

  • Thursday, Feb. 27
  • Friday, Feb. 28
  • Saturday, March 1

A highlight show will air Sunday, March 2, on SEC Network at 8 p.m. ET.
 
Additionally, live results will be provided throughout the weekend by Flash Results, Inc.
 
SEEDED VOLS AND LADY VOLS: Tennessee’s championship roster holds 17 top-8 marks in the SEC this season based on the conference meet performance list.

UP NEXT: Tennessee athletes that post top-16 NCAA qualifying marks will travel to Virginia Beach, Virginia, for the 2025 NCAA Indoor National Championships. The nation’s top athletes will converge upon the Virginia Beach Sports Center on Friday and Saturday, March 14-15.
