TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Vincent Mauri once again stood out from the crowd Friday morning in Tallahassee, Florida, this time taking 15th-place in the Florida State XC Invite/ NCAA Pre-Nationals. Mauri shaved almost a full minute off his personal record in the men’s 8K Garnet. His performance ran alongside Lena Lebrun who took 49th in the women’s 6K Open. ASU celebrated four total women – Lebrun, Hayden Sparks, Gracie Carr, and Claire Le Gallo – finishing in the top-100 of the almost 300-person race. Each of them finished within two-minutes of overall winner Sydney Seymour of Tennessee (20:41.9), which in turn helped the Sun Devils to a 13th overall team finish.
The Sun Devils now turn their eyes to the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships Oct. 29 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
