KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Head coach and Director of Cross Country/Distance Sean Carlson has announced the men’s and women’s cross country schedule for the 2022 campaign.
The calendar features four races during the regular season, beginning at home with the Tennessee Cross Country Invitational on September 2 at 8 a.m. ET. The home meet will run at the Cherokee Farm Cross Country Course.
On September 16, Tennessee and Florida State will run a dual race at Appalachian State in Boone, North Carolina. Two weeks later, the Vols and Lady Vols will head north for Louisville, Kentucky, to compete at the Live In Lou Cross Country Classic on October 1.
The Big Orange will then enter an extended training cycle as they prepare for the SEC Championships on October 28. Ole Miss is set to host the 2022 conference meet in Oxford, Mississippi.
The following week, Tennessee takes a short trip to Blacksburg, Virginia, to run in the Hokie Open hosted by Virginia Tech.
The NCAA South Regional Championships are scheduled for Nov. 11 in Huntsville, Alabama, with the NCAA National Championships coming the following weekend in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Nov. 19.
