‘Cuse Men Ranked in Preseason Poll

Both Syracuse cross country squads are receiving votes in the national poll to start the season, with the ‘Cuse men checking in at No. 21 in the poll.

The men received 101 points in the poll, to put them as the No. 2 ranked squad in the Northeast Region behind No. 11 Harvard. The Orange men are also one-of-four ACC squads in the initial poll, along with Wake Forest, North Carolina and Notre Dame.

The ‘Cuse women received eight points in the poll, to put them just outside the national rankings. Four ACC squads are in the preseason poll, including three top-15 teams and a pair of top-six squads (NC State and Notre Dame), making the league once again one of the best conferences in the nation.

Syracuse opens the 2022 season at the Harry Lang Invitational on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Hamilton, N.Y.
