Clemson Travels to Crimson Classic for Final Regular Season Meet
CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson cross country teams are back in action this week as they head to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to compete in the Crimson Classic. In the teams’ final meet before ACC Championships, the Tigers will look to round into their best form yet.
A total of 15 teams will toe the line Friday morning at Harry Pritchett Running Park with the men’s 8k race beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the women’s 6k race at 10:20 a.m.
Running for the Clemson women will be freshman Maddie Dinneen, who has led the way for the Tigers in each of the three meets thus far. Most recently, she ran a 18:06.2 5k at the Live in Lou meet on October 1. Brynne Sumner and Madison Roush were the second and third Clemson finishers at that meet.
On the men’s side, the Tigers will look to Marlin Young to continue his impressive season. He finished 40th out of over 300 competitors at Live in Lou with an 8k time of 24:12.8. He was trailed by Victor Ndiwa and Jack McManus.
