CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson men’s cross country team has been ranked No. 13 in the USTFCCCA Southeast Regional Rankings, as announced by the organization on Monday. This marks the first time the team has held a regional ranking during Head Coach Vicky Pounds’s four season tenure.

“It’s great to see all the guys’ hard work paying off,” remarked Pounds. “This is definitely a big step in the right direction for this men’s team.”

The team is coming off an impressive performance at the Crimson Classic, led by Victor Ndiwa. His 24:25.0 8k time was good for 14th amongst 143 runners who completed the race. Sawyer Dagan and Marlin Young have also been excellent for the Tigers. They finished in 16th and 23rd, respectively.

Clemson is hitting its stride just before ACC Championships, as the Tigers will travel to Charlottesville, Va. for the conference championship meet on Friday, Oct. 28.
