ABOUT THE MEET
Syracuse Track will send members of their distance team to Boston this weekend to kick off their season at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
The track in Boston is known to produce some of the top distance times in the nation annually, providing early season opportunities for ‘Cuse to set strong marks.

ORANGE ENTRIES IN BOSTON
Savannah Roark, Amanda Vestri, Madeline Heintz and Caroline Kirby will race in the women’s 5,000-meter run. Karl Winter, Paul O’Donnell, Jack Whetstone and Alex Herbst will race for the men at that distance.
In the 3,000-meter run, Bethany Steiner will race for the women and Karl Winter and Ruben Rojas Betanzos will make their Orange track debuts for the men.

ABOUT THE MEET
A staple of Syracuse’s annual early-season schedule, many Syracuse runners will get their season started at Barton Hall on the campus of Cornell this weekend.
ORANGE ENTRIES AT CORNELL
Olivia Etienvre kicks off the meet in the high jump at 10:30 a.m.
Action on the track will begin nearly an hour later when Trei Thorogood, James Nmah and Carlton Landingham compete in the men’s 60-meter dash prelims. The women will race 25 minutes later with Kahniya James, Shaleah Colaire and Kaleia Arrington.
The Orange’s deepest field will come in the 60-meter hurdles. Naseem Smith, Isaiah Vazquez, Manny Joseph, Xayvion Perkins and Elijah Mallard are set to race for the men at 12:55 p.m. The women’s race will feature C.J. Fox, Kirstyn Schechter, Sheridan McGadden, Etienvre, Peyton Rollins, Hanna Schofield and Sheridan McGadden.
Mallard, Perkins and Nmah will double back in the 300 at 2:30 p.m., where they’ll be joined by Patrick Malone, Silas Derfel and Matthew Dragon. Ariel Haywood, Kristine Krumpfer, Sarah Eddy, Catriona McKeown, Schechter, Schofield and Colaire will race for the women. Â
The day will finish with the 1,000-meter runs. Lizzie Bigelow is the lone woman in the race for ‘Cuse, preceded by Ryder Kriley and Alexander Segarra for the men.
