Buckeye Track and Field Announces 2023 Schedules – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Rosalind Joseph, in her first year as director of the Ohio State track and field and cross country programs, has announced the Buckeyes’ indoor and outdoor schedules for 2023. View the women’s schedule HERE and the men’s schedule HERE. Highlighting the outdoor schedules is the Jesse Owens Classic in Columbus April 21-22.

 

The indoor slate includes eight meets before postseason action. The Buckeye squad will start its competition season Jan. 13-14 at Kentucky’s Rod McCravy Memorial before traveling to Ann Arbor for the Michigan Invitational Jan. 21. January closes with select events competing at the Texas Tech Open and Multis in Lubbock, Texas.

 

In February, select events will head to Notre Dame’s Meyo Invitational Feb. 3-4. Feb. 10-11, Ohio State will have split squads competing in the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt in Nashville and the Clemson Invitational in South Carolina. The regular season closes Feb. 18, with Ohio State competing at both Notre Dame’s Alex Wilson Invitational and the Arkansas Qualifier.

 

The Big Ten Indoor Championships will be in Geneva, Ohio, Feb. 24-25, with the NCAA Championships March 10-11 in Albuquerque, N.M.

 

The outdoor season, which includes 10 events before postseason action begins, will kick off at the Bulls Invitational hosted by South Florida in Tampa March 17-18. March 25, the Buckeyes will compete in NC State’s Raleigh Relays.

 

The next three weekends, the squad will split for events. Buckeyes will run in the Texas Relays March 30-April 1 and at the Cincinnati Oliver Nikoloff Invitational March 31-April 1. The next weekend (April 6-8) features the Tennessee Relays in Knoxville and the LSU Lloyd Wills Invitational in Baton Rouge, La. April 14-15, Buckeyes will head to Gainesville, Fla., for Florida’s Tom Jones Memorial and to Louisville, Ky., for the Jim Freeman Louisville Invite.

 

Ohio State will host the Jesse Owens Classic April 21-22 in Columbus, Ohio, and the regular season wraps up at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia April 27-29.

 

The Big Ten Outdoor Championships will be in Bloomington, Ind., May 12-14, hosted by Indiana. The NCAA Preliminary Round is set for Jacksonville, Fla., May 24-27, followed by the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas, June 7-10.
