NEW ORLEANS — The University of Colorado cross country team placed three individuals on the 2022 USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams.

Ella Baran and Bailey Hertenstein were selected to the women’s team, while Brendan Fraser was named to the men’s team.

Baran is working towards her master’s of the environment with a 4.0 GPA, while Hertenstein has a 3.9 GPA while working on her master’s in integrative physiology.

Fraser earned his second-straight honor with a 3.778 GPA while pursuing his master’s in organizational leadership.

Both the women and men’s teams earned the academic team honor. The women recorded a 3.422 cumulative GPA in the fall, marking the 36th consecutive semester over a 3.0 and the 19th straight semester over a 3.2. The men’s team recorded a 3.241 cumulative GPA.

There were 249 women’s programs and 216 men’s programs which qualified for the team honor in the NCAA Division I. To earn the award, a team must have a cumulative GPA greater than 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. Individual honorees must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or greater and must have finished as an All-American (top 40) or among the 25 finishers (or 10 percent) in their regional meet.
