SEATTLE – Washington made the grade during the 2023 cross country season, with both teams and six individuals earning All-Academic distinction from the USTFCCCA. Qualifying teams must achieve a 3.0 cumulative team GPA, while individuals need a 3.25 and a top-25 at the regional championships to earn the recognition.
UW’s Pac-12 Champion women’s team owns a stellar 3.65 cumulative team grade point average to pick up another All-Academic team honor. Individuals qualifying for the USTFCCCA honor are Julia David-Smith, Chloe Foerster, and India Weir.
The men’s team, the Pac-12 runner-up, holds a 3.43 team GPA through the end of fall quarter. Picking up individual All-Academic honors, all for the first time in cross country, were Jamar Distel, Nathan Green, and Evan Jenkins.
