COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track and field’s Karissa Schweizer and Euphenie Andre advanced to the finals of United State Olympic Trials Friday at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Schweitzer, in pursuit of her second Olympics after competing in Tokyo in 2021, claimed second in the 5k with a time of 15:15.42. She will race in the finals of the event on Monday at 9:09 p.m. CT
Andre, a 2023 graduate, placed eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 13.25m (43-5.75). Andre, chasing her first Olympic appearance, will compete in the finals of the event tomorrow at 8:20 p.m. CT.
Ariana Fisher also represented the Tigers in the triple jump as she finished 13th with a mark of 13.10m (42-11.75).
