Skylar Ciccolini Advances to Javelin Finals at Olympic Trials


COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track and field’s Skylar Ciccolini claimed fifth in the javelin and advanced to the finals with a season-best mark of 55.40m (181-9) on Friday at the United States Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon.

Additionally in the event, Erin Zimmerman placed 19th with a mark of 49.28m (161-8).

Mizzou alumn Avery Carter claimed 14th in the hammer throw with a mark of 71.57m (234-9).

Competing in Columbia, Carolina Daza took second in the hammer throw in the countries Olympic Trials with a mark of 63.64m.

UP NEXT

Having already qualified in the 5k, Karissa Schweizer being her qualifying quest in the 10k at 8:09 p.m. CT while Callan Saldutto looks to make the Canadian team in the javelin at 7:30 p.m. CT.
