Schweizer Qualifies for Paris Olympics in the 10k

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track and field’s Karissa Schweizer qualified for her second Olympic event in Paris as she finished third in the 10k with a time of 31:41.56 Saturday night in Eugene, Oregon.

Schweizer previously qualified for her second consecutive Olympics by earning a spot in the 5k.

Competing in the discus finals, Mitch finished ninth with a mark of 61.55m (201-11). The place was the highest among collegiate athletes in the field.

Additionally, Valentina Bornacelli placed third in the javelin with a mark of 54.76m at the Columbia Olympic Trials.
