CLEMSON, S.C. – After earning qualifying marks and times in their specific events, four Tigers are set to represent their countries in the 2024 Olympic Games while current Head Coach Mark Elliott and Assistant Coach Lennox Graham have been named coaches for Jamaica.
Clemson will have three former athletes and one current student-athlete as the Tigers have representation for Australia, Jamaica and the United States.
Sophomore Aleksandra Stoilova, who just wrapped up her first season for Clemson is set to compete for Team Australia as she will run in the women’s 4×100 relay. Stoilova is the both youngest and only current student-athlete at Clemson to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games.
Former Clemson Tiger, Veronica Fraley was officially named to the United States Track & Field Olympic Roster as she is set to represent America in the women’s discus. Fraley competed for Clemson from 2018-22 as she graduated with her undergraduate degree in 2022.
Representing Jamaica is former Tiger standout Natoya Goule and Clemson discus record-holder, Roje Stona. Goule is set to compete in the women’s 800 meters after she ran a seasons best time of 1:59.06 at the JAAA National Trials to be named an automatic qualifier for the Olympics. Stona, who earned his undergraduate degree from Clemson in 2022, is set to compete in the men’s discus after throwing 65.29m at trials.
On the coaching side, current Head Coach and Track & Field Director Mark Elliott was named to the official coaching staff for Team Jamaica. Current Assistant Coach, Lennox Graham was named a personal coach for Danielle Williams, the 2023 100m hurdles World Champion, who is set to compete for Jamaica in the 100m hurdles at the Olympics.
