Women's Cross Country Announces 2024 Schedule

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The 2024 Maryland women’s cross country schedule has been officially announced with the Terps set to start competition on August 31 at the Salisbury Invite.

Overall, the squad will take part in four regular season races before heading to the Big Ten Championships (Nov. 1) and then NCAA events.

Following the opening weekend, Maryland will take part in the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational (Sept. 13) and then the prestigious 50th annual Paul Short Invitational (Oct. 5) hosted by Lehigh.

The final tune-up before the championship season will be the Princeton Fall Classic on Oct. 18.

Last season, the Terps finished 10th at the Big Ten Championship to equal its best mark in the event originally set in 2017. That set-up an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet which was the best finish for the harriers since 2003.

Maryland will be headlined this season by the veteran trio of Katie Altieri, Rose Coats, and Katie Turk. The Terps return 12 members from last season’s squad while adding six newcomers.
