Scotland U20 all set for Manchester – team staff named and Para project

Picked for Scotland: Athlete set for Throws and Jumps pathway meets

Young Scottish athletes head south this weekend to represent Scotland U20 in the Manchester International.

It’s an important development opportunity for the 25 athletes selected with the competition hosted by England Athletics at the Regional Arena in Manchester to include Senior teams.

And we are pleased today to confirm the team staff assigned for this event who will help guide the Scotland U20 team through the event.

Our National Talent Manager, Allan Hamilton, will lead the team with support from a combination of volunteers and scottishathletics staff.

Jumps: Ally Strange, Sam O’Kane

Sprints: Bruce Scott, Francis Smith

Endurance: Robert Hawkins, Lynne MacDougall

Throws: Jim Green

Physiotherapist: Scott MacAulay

Team Manager: Julie Mollison

There is also a competition opportunity for three Para athletes to compete at the Manchester International this weekend.

Working with our Para Pathway Manager, Pamela Robson, we’ve selected a trio of athletes to represent Scotland in Para events in Manchester.
