DURHAM, N.C. – Duke cross country is in the Windy City this weekend, taking part in the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational Friday, Oct. 4 at the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course in Chicago.
 
MEET INFO/WHAT TO KNOW

  • Friday’s meet features four total races, starting with the women’s 6K (11 a.m.) and men’s 8K (11:40 a.m.) championships to kick off the morning. Following the conclusion of those races, the women’s open 6K (12:20 p.m.) and the men’s open 8K (1 p.m.) will conclude the day.
  • Live results will be provided via AthleticLive HERE.
  • 31 athletes are set to represent the Blue Devils this weekend – 15 women and 16 men. The full list of competitors can be found HERE.

 
LAST TIME OUT

  • The Duke men’s cross country team took part in the Adidas XC Challenge Friday evening, with Jeremy Kain pacing four Duke runners on the 6K course at the WakeMed Soccer Park.
  • Kain notched the highest placement for the Blue Devils on the evening, clocking 19:01.1 for a 46th-place finish.
  • Jack Kovach (59th) and William Skelly (66th) were the next Duke runners to cross the finish line with times of 19:14.8 and 19:20.7, respectively.
  • Riley Newport rounded out the quartet, turning in a finish of 19:42.1 to place 88th.
