Lewiston, Idaho – The Cougar Cross Country team also competed in Lewiston on Saturday morning, finishing in fourth place in the women’s 5k race and sixth in the men’s 8k.
In the women’s race, Maya Nichols had the top Cougar time of 17:31, finishing in 10th place. This was a personal best time for her 5k. Sabrina Colbert (17:33) and Jaylyn Lehner (17:44) also both ran personal bests. They finished in 13th and 19th, respectively. Every WSU runner during the women’s 5k ran a personal best time.
In the men’s 8k, Jacob Easton finished with the top time for the Cougs, 24:57. He finished the race in 23rd. Micaiah Aden ran a personal best time of 25:01 and finished in 26th place. Ethan Martin rounded out the top three Cougs with a 36th-place time of 25:27.
The Cougs will next head to the West Coast Conference Championships on November 2 to be hosted by University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.
