Pitt Wraps Up the Regular Season at Wisconsin Pre-Nationals

MADISON, Wisc. – The Pitt Panthers traveled to the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course to compete in Wisconsin Pre-Nationals, the final regular season meet of the year.

The women finished 12^th out of 29 teams assigned to the Women’s 6k “B” Race with 360 points. Winnie Incorvaia was the first Panther to cross the line with a time of 21:06.2 for 27^th place overall. Olivia Bufalini and Sadie Carey-Tharp were the next Panthers to follow as they stopped the clock in 21:42.6 and 21:44.5 for 63^rd and 67^th places, respectively.

In the Men’s 8k “B” Race, the Pitt men finished in 13^th place with 309 points. The Panthers had two runners finish inside of the top 50, senior Quintin Gatons in 39^th place with a time of 24:40.0 and freshman Thomas McMahon in 49^th place with a speed of 24:44.7. Junior Luke Simpson and senior, Luke Miller finished consecutively in 60^th and 61^st, with times of 24:55.6 and 24:57.1.
