Ticket Punched! Chepkoech Places Fifth at West Regionals to Reach NCAA Championships


COLFAX, Wash. – Ticket punched! Judy Chepkoech is headed to the NCAA Cross Country Championships after another phenomenal showing on Friday at the NCAA West Regionals, where she placed fifth (19:36.6) in the Women’s 6k at the Colfax Golf Course in Washington.

Chepkoech is the first for the Sun Devil Women’s program to reach the NCAA Championships since Shelby Houlihan in 2014, who won the West Regional qualifier in 19:31.6. She’ll compete in the national championships on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisconsin.
