MADISON, Wisc. – Evans Kurui and Zenah Cheptoo will head to Madison, Wisc. for the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course. Zenah will race in the women’s race at 10:20 a.m. Eastern Time/7:20 a.m. Pacific Time. Evans will compete in the men’s race at 11:10 a.m. Eastern Time/8:10 a.m. Pacific Time. Admission to the event will be $20 per person, and parking will be $5 per vehicle.
There were 38 individuals selected to participate in each championship, along with the 31 teams that are participating through automatic qualification and at-large selection. All individual qualifiers finished in the top 25 in their region.
This is the first time that a Coug will be racing in the NCAA Cross Country Championships since Amir Ado in 2021. That race was held in Tallahassee, Florida, and Ado ran a 31:06.3.

- Evans Kurui won the West Regional with a time of 28:53.7 in the men’s 10k to qualify for the National Championship.
- Zenah Cheptoo (19:46.8) finished in the top-10 of the women’s 6k at the West Regionals to also qualify for the National Championship.
