One more sneak preview for the indoor track season comes this Saturday as a group of 18 Husky jumpers and sprinters visit the Podium in Spokane for the Spokane Invitational. It will be the season debuts for all the Dawgs on the trip, and also the last competition before a break until the new year.

The first event at the Spokane Invite starts on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with the final event on the track at approximately 6 p.m. Runnerspace will be streaming the meet live.

UW will see competition from the likes of Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Portland State, Washington State and Western Washington along with several more PNW colleges.

The men’s team is sending eight, including three All-Americans in Prestin Artis, Jami Schlueter, and new transfer pole vaulter Scott Toney. Also making the trip are Pac-12 medalists Simon Park and Jonathan Frazier, along with Matthew Wilkinson, Leland Lieberg, and freshman Bodi Ligons, set for his collegiate debut.

The women’s team is sending 10 including sprinters Kapiolani Coleman, Daniell Hunter, Rhonda Newton, Elle Rutherford, Anna Terrell, and in their collegiate debuts, Mikayla Gardley and Moa Segerholt. Jumpers Rachel Bir and Ava Washburn will open up their campaigns as will vaulter Avril Wilson.
