ArmoryTrack.org - News - Dr. Sander Scorcher Will Feature Top-Level Professional and Collegiate Competition Before 117th Millrose Games

As the indoor track & field calendar heats up, all eyes turn to the Dr. Sander Scorcher, scheduled for this Saturday, January 25th, at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory. This meet has been overhauled for the 2025 season, and The Armory’s new lightning-fast blue track is the perfect venue for athletes looking to chase personal bests and qualifying marks.

Many of the top programs in NCAA will be in attendance, along with many professional athletes competing in USATF-sanctioned competition. In several of these elite races, the winner will earn a spot in the 117th Millrose Games, taking place two weeks later at The Armory as well.

-Three-time NCAA champion and New York distance legend Katelyn Tuohy opens her season in the Women’s Mile against another NCAA Champion in Elly Henes and defending Dr. Sander champion Yolanda Ngarambe of Sweden.

-The Men’s Mile features a number of athletes who will be chasing a sub-3:50 clocking, including Australian teenage sensation Cameron Myers, NCAA 1500m record holder Adam Spencer, defending champion Adam Fogg, and local favorite Eric Holt.

Courtney Okolo headlines the Women’s 400m, an Olympic gold medalist from 2016 on the 4x400m relay.

Salif Mane, Olympic Trials Champion and sixth in Paris in the triple jump, will try his hand in the Men’s Long Jump.

-Former US 1000m record holder Shane Streich faces off against World Championship qualifier Jonah Koech in the Men’s 800m.
