CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Jadin O’Brien has been named as the ACC Women’s Indoor Field Performer of the Week as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on February 4.
A graduate student for the Irish, O’Brien broke her own school record en route to a first place finish in the pentathlon over the weekend. She posted a score of 4552 with first place efforts in the 60m hurdles (8.23), shot put (13.39m) and 800m (2:13.54). The 4552 mark is the highest score in the pentathlon in both the ACC and all of NCAA DI track and field to-date.
A native of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, it is the first ACC Indoor Field Performer of the Week honor of the season for O’Brien.
