Young throwers to compete for Scotland in event at Loughborough

Scotland athletes will compete at a throws pathway international early next month.

We are delighted to now confirm selections for the Shaun Pickering Throws International in Loughborough on Sunday 1 June.

Eight athletes have been picked for Scotland across three age groups and including Para throws events.

U23:

Women’s javelin: Dawn Russell (Kilbarchan AAC)

Women’s shot: Amy Kennedy (Cumbernauld AAC)

U20:

Men’s javelin: Zak Fearn (Team East Lothian)

Men’s shot: Logan Mitchell (Kilmarnock Harriers)

U18:

Women’s hammer: Sophie Robertson (Cumbernauld AAC)

Women’s shot: Ava Mitchell (VP-Glasgow)

Men’s shot: Rhian Mitchell (Kilmarnock Harriers)

Ambulant Para throws:

Shot and discus: Freya Howgate (Perth Strathtay)
