Allman vs Perkovic at Bislett
OSLO (NOR): Croatia’s two-time Olympic and world gold medallist Sandra Perkovic will go head-to-head with USA’s Olympic champion Valarie Allman when the discus stars clash at the Bislett Games, the fifth meeting in this year’s Wanda Diamond League series, in Oslo on 15 June. The Croatian leads 13 to 9 by the all-time head-to-head comparison, and the American is better in the recent two seasons (9 to 4). However, Perkovic was better by getting silver (Allman got bronze) at the last year’s World Championships. In a competitive field for the Oslo meeting, they are set to be joined by Germany’s Olympic silver medallist Kristin Pudenz, world fourth-place finisher Jorinde van Klinken of Netherlands, European bronze medallist Claudine Vita of Germany and Portugal’s Olympic fifth-place finisher Liliana Ca, from World Athletics.
