COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Clemson track and field team performed well at the USC Open on Saturday, competing in windy conditions and making the most of it. The group is closing in on the championship phase of its season and both the men and women are primed to make a run at the ACC title in Raleigh, N.C. from May 11-13.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Lashanna Graham set the No. 1o time in school history in the 400 meter run. Her mark of 52.17 seconds put her on her second list of the outdoor season including her No. 6 position on the 400 meter hurdles list.
- Cameron Rose ran a blistering 10.07 second 100 meter dash, aided by a 3.6 meters per second tailwind. Had it been wind legal, his time would’ve been No. 6 in school history.
- The women’s 4×100 meter relay of Ockera Myrie, Oneka Wilson, Antoinette Van der Merwe and Courtney Williams finished first with a time of 44.34 seconds.
- Wanya McCoy ran a wind aided 20.46 second 200 meter dash in his debut of the event this season. Had it been wind legal, that time would be a personal best.
- Oneka Wilson qualified for the 100 meter hurdles finals with a time of 13.29 second and then finished fourth with a time of 13.44 seconds.
- Tarees Rhoden (46.12) and D’Andre Anderson (46.43) finished first and second in the 400 meter run.
