SEATTLE, Wash. – Arizona Track & Field wrapped up their opening weekend of the indoor season on Saturday with the University of Washington Preview. The Wildcats sent eight distance runners to Seattle to run at Dempsey Indoor in the competitive early season meet.
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
Cooper Quigley began the day for the Wildcats, clocking a time of 4:09.67 in the men’s mile.
In the women’s 800m, Kara Mickelson clocked a new indoor personal best time of 2:15.95 and finished eighth overall. For the men, Cade Russo finished sixth in the 800m with a time of 1:52.66, which was also a personal best. Freshman Noah Ray placed eighth in the event with a time of 1:53.42.
Senior Sailor Hutton posted an indoor personal best in the women’s 3000m with a time of 9:31.68. Hutton won her heat in the event and finished 22nd overall. Ian Sanchez Lopez was the Wildcats’ top finisher in the men’s 3000m, finishing 21st with a time of 8:14.57.

The indoor season continues next Saturday for the Wildcats at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational hosted by New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M.
