CLEMSON, S.C. – Following their impressive performances at the Tiger Paw Invitational, Gladys Chepngetich and Shantae Foreman have been named ACC Performers of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Chepngetich was named ACC Women’s Rookie of the Week while Foreman earned ACC Women’s Field Performer of the Week.
ACC Women’s Rookie of the Week: Gladys Chepngetich
At the Tiger Paw Invitational, Chepngetich impressed all in the women’s 800 meter invitational as she was first to cross the finish line with a time of 2:01.83. The 2023 ACC XC Freshman of the Year is ranked fifth in the nation in the 800 meter and is No. 3 all-time for Clemson.
Chepngetich also ran in the Clemson “A” team in the Women’s 4×400 relay, as their finish time of 3:33.69 currently ranks them 20th in the nation.
ACC Women’s Field Performer of the Week: Shantae Foreman
At the Tiger Paw Invitational, Shantae Foreman shined in the women’s triple jump as she jumped 13.61m to secure first place in the event. The sophomore’s performance is currently ranked fifth in the nation and moved her to No. 3 on Clemson’s top-10 list.
This marks Foreman’s second weekly honor of the 2o24 indoor season.
