1994ā€“It was a preview of things to come, with senior Carrie Tollefson beating junior Kara Wheeler (now Kara Goucher) to win the AA division at the Minnesota High School State meet (14:09.2-14:10.5). It was a dream matchup between two returning Foot Locker finalists (5th & 9th, respectively) and two defending state champions (in different divisions).
