Member-Meneh, Miller Named Pitt Student-Athletes of the Week

PITTSBURGH – Leketor Member-Meneh of volleyball and Jack Miller of cross country were named the Pitt Student-Athletes of the Week following impressive performances in their respective sports.

Member-Meneh, a senior outside hitter, led the third-ranked Pitt volleyball team (24-2, 13-2 ACC) with 4.69 points per set over two wins. She averaged a team-best 3.88 kills per frame at a hitting clip of .319 while picking up 1.88 digs per set. Against Syracuse (Nov. 12), the St. Louis, Mo., native tied a career high with 23 kills, which are the most by a Panther in a single match this season. She led the team with five service aces over Pitt’s two matches for the week.

Miller, a redshirt sophomore, saved the best performance of his career for the biggest meet of the season as he was able to post a team-leading 21st place finish in the talented field at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet Friday afternoon. Miller’s performance earned him All-Region honors for the first time in his Pitt career while he helped lead the Panthers to a fifth-place finish in the meet with a team score of 159. The team score (159) and place finish (5th) marked the best in program history for the Panthers as they had five runners place inside the top-40. Miller’s team-leading time of 31:06.2 was a new personal best time for the 10K course as he wrapped up the season as the top finisher for the Panthers in four of their five meets.
