Two Program Records Fall as the Buckeye Women Wrap Up NCAA Regionals – Ohio State Buckeyes

RESULTS

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team completed the women’s regional finals on Saturday in Bloomington, Ind. The Buckeye women will have 12 entries at the NCAA Championships, including 10 individual entries from seven different student-athletes as well as the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay squads.

NATIONAL QUALIFIERS

  • The 4x100m relay squad broke the program’s outdoor record and facility record by running a 42.87 – the top qualifying time.
  • Jaimie Robinson broke the program’s outdoor record in the triple jump with a best mark of 13.60m to advance to the NCAA Championships. She finished second overall.
  • In the 100m, Anavia Battle (11.20) and Yanique Dayle (11.24) each finished second in their respective heats to earn automatic spots at nationals. Nya Bussey ran a wind-legal personal-best 11.27 to earn the first timed qualifying spot, finishing ninth overall.
  • Chanler Robinson ran a personal-best 57.63 in the 400m hurdles to finish third in her heat and ninth overall, securing an automatic bid to Eugene. This improves her time as the fifth-fastest in the event in program history.
  • Battle and Dayle finished first and second, respectively, in their heat of the 200m to advance to the NCAA Championships. Battle matched her season-best 22.38, while Dayle ran a personal-best 22.64.
  • The 4x400m relay squad finished second in the heat and fifth overall (3:30.35) to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
  • Alexus Pyles advanced to the NCAA Championships in the 100m hurdles after finishing third in her heat and 10th overall (13.29).

UP NEXT

The 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championships are scheduled to take place June 8-11 in Eugene, Ore.
