Current and Former Members of Pack Set for USATF Outdoor Championships


RALEIGH – Four current NC State track & field athletes and multiple Pack alumni are slated to compete at the USATF Outdoor Championships June 23-26 in Eugene, Ore.

Joshua Brockman, Cameron Murray, Katelyn Tuohy, Cravont Charleston (’21), Graham Crawford (’16), Gabriele Cunningham (’19) and Elly Henes (’21) will compete at the meet while Alexander Nunley will represent the Pack at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships. 

The top three finishers in each event at the USATF Championships will represent the United States at the World Championships.

Joshua Brockman – 110m Hurdles

Coming off a Second Team All-America performance at the NCAA Championships in the same event, Brockman is set to compete in the 110m hurdles. He was able to improve his PR four time during the 2022 season, and his personal-best time of 13.60 tied the school record and qualified him to the USATF Championships. Three rounds of the 110m hurdles will determine the US’s representatives in the event.

Cravont Charleston (’21) – 100, 200m

Charleston concluded his career with NC State at the end of the 2021 season and now runs for Tracksmith. His 100m time of 9.98 and his 200m time of 20.19 were good to qualify him to the USATF Championships in the events. Charleston maintains top-three marks in NC State history in both the outdoor 100m and 200m and is the school record holder in the indoor 60m. There will be three rounds of each event to set the US team.

Graham Crawford (’16) – 5000m

Running professionally for Reebok Boston Track Club, Crawford is set for the 5000m with a qualifying mark of 13:22.68. He maintains the second-fastest 1500m mark in Wolfpack history. There will be one round of the 5000m at the USATF Championships.

Gabriele Cunningham (’19) – 100m Hurdles

A 2020 Olympian, Cunningham runs for Nike professionally and qualified for the USATF Championships with a time of 12.53. Cunningham remains the school record holder in the outdoor 100m as well as the indoor 60m, 200m, 60m hurdles. The 100m hurdles competitors will run in three rounds to set the team for the World Championships.
