EUGENE, Ore. – As part of its 2022 schedule, the University of Oregon cross country team will host the Dellinger Invitational on Friday, Sept. 23, in Springfield. The upcoming season will be the program’s first under new head coach Jerry Schumacher.

The Ducks’ six-date meet schedule begins this week with the Lewis & Clark Opener in Lake Oswego. The race is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 1 with a start time of 6:45 p.m.

The 2022 Bill Dellinger Invitational (Sept. 23) will begin with the men’s 8K at 11 a.m. with the women’s 6K race to follow at noon. The Pine Ridge Golf Club—formerly Springfield Golf Club—will once again be the host course for the Ducks’ home meet.

Oregon will then travel to the Nuttycombe Invitational (Oct. 14) in Madison, Wis. The four-race schedule starts at 9 a.m. (PT) with the “B” races followed by the men’s and women’s championship section.

The Ducks’ postseason begins Friday, Oct. 28, at the Pac-12 Championships in Riverside, Calif., hosted by USC. The teams return all-conference performers Aaron Bienenfeld and Alessia Zarbo from last season, as well as Caleb Brown, the reigning Men’s Freshman of the Year.

Bienenfeld went on to earn All-America honors with an 18th-place finish at the NCAA Championships. Zarbo and fellow returner Emilie Girard collected all-region accolades for the Women of Oregon.

The NCAA West Regional Championships will take place Friday, Nov. 11, in Tacoma, Wash. The top-two teams in each race earn an automatic spot in the national meet with 13 teams receiving at-large bids.

For the second time in three seasons, the NCAA Championships will be run in Stillwater, Okla. The meet will go off on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the OSU Cross Country Course.
