For over 10 years, the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour has established itself as one of the nation’s premier collegiate meets. This year’s event is set for Friday, Oct. 14, 2022.

The highlight of the event an 8-kilometer men’s race and a 6-kilometer women’s race. The event also includes “B” races for both men and women.

All races will be held on the beautiful Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course, which opened in 2009 and is located adjacent to University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.

This year’s Nuttycombe meet will consist of two races per gender. The women’s “B” race will take place at 11 a.m. with the men’s “B” race to follow at 11:40 a.m. The women’s “A” race will begin at 12:20 p.m. and the men’s “A” race starts at 1 p.m.

Teams are allowed to run only seven athletes in the “A” race and an unlimited amount of athletes in the “B” races. Coaches will have the ability to race any seven of the submitted entries in the featured races and do not have to declare those seven athletes prior to the start of those races.

Unattached entries for this meet must be requested through Coach Watson at aaw@athletics.wisc.edu for approval. Entry deadline: Friday, October 7, 2022 – 5 p.m. (CST)

Parking/Shuttle Information

There is no spectator parking at the cross country course or University Ridge. Spectator parking will be located at Blackhawk Church in Middleton, Wisconsin.

Blackhawk Church: The Blackhawk Church is located five miles north of the University Ridge off of West Mineral Point Road. If traveling on the Beltline, exit to West Mineral Point Road and continue to Veritas Drive or Brader Way (both located on the right). Parking is available behind the church on the upper level. The shuttle will pick-up and drop-off at the upper level of the parking structure. A map of the parking layout is available here.

Spectator shuttles are available for transportation to the course. One accessible shuttle will be available. Wristbands to ride the shuttle roundtrip are $8 per person. The shuttle service begins at 9 a.m. and concludes one hour after the final race has finished. The shuttle will pick up and drop off at the upper level of the parking structure at Blackhawk Church. Fans are encouraged to arrive early so you don’t miss any of the action!
