Lundgreen Leads the Way at Utah Open


SALT LAKE CITY Ellie Lundgreen led the way on Thursday for the trio of Utes at Sunnyside Park while Bri Rinn ran unattached at the annual Utah Open.
 
Running unattached, Rinn posted a time of 20:10.0 in her first unofficial collegiate race for 22nd on the 5k course.
 
Lundgreen was the first Ute to cross the finish line, checking in with a mark of 20:22.3. Meanwhile, Grace Burnett was right behind her in her first race of the season with a time of 20:30.1 (23rd). Maren Busath rounded out the trio of Utes running in uniform with a time of 20:34.8 for a 25th-place finish.
 
UP NEXT
The Women of Utah now get ready to head down to Southern California for the start of the Championship season and compete at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships on Friday, Oct. 28, at the UCR Ags-Ops Course. The women’s race is scheduled to go off at 9:40 a.m. (MT) / 8:40 a.m. (PT) on Pac-12 Networks.
