ACC Announces First Outdoor T&F Weekly Honors of 2023 Season


GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Four student-athletes who each posted opening-week times or marks that rank among the top four nationally have been named the first Atlantic Coast Conference Track and Field Performers of the Week of the 2023 Outdoor season.
 
ACC Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Patrick Donnelly, Florida State
Donnelly led a 53-man runner field in the 5,000 meters at the River City Spring Break Classic hosted by North Florida. The redshirt freshman from Alexandria, Virginia, posted a winning time of 14:15.81.
 
ACC Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Sanaa Hebron, Miami
Hebron started her outdoor season for Miami strong, finishing with a first-place time of 56.47 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles at the Hurricane Invitational. The Newtown, Pennsylvania, native was named the USTFCCCA National Women’s Athlete of the Week earlier Tuesday after she established a personal best that currently ranks No. 1 in the nation.
 
ACC Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Beau Allen, Duke
Allen turned in his best career performance at the season-opening Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach with a high jump of 2.17m (7-1.50 feet). The Santa Barbara, California native now ranks No. 3 on Duke’s all-time list and stands No. 2 nationally in the early going this season.
 
ACC Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Hannah Hall, Miami
Hall (defending ACC Indoor champion in the women’s shot put) opened her outdoor season strong by placing first at the Hurricane Invitational with a mark of 16.61m (54-6). The Union City, California native currently ranks third in the nation and first in the ACC.
