Florida State’s track and field teams will split up this weekend with some competing at the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Fla. on Friday and others at the Texas Invitational in Austin, Tex. on Friday and Saturday.
A 23-member contingent will compete in eight events at the University of North Florida at the East Coast Relays beginning at 6:00 p.m. Friday, including the majority of the distance group. Among the ACC leaders in their events, James Rivera will race in the 400 meter hurdles and Alyson Churchill in the women’s 1500 meters in Jacksonville.
FSU will have 14 competitors at the University of Texas for the two-day Texas Invitational. Jeremiah Davis, one of the NCAA’s top jumpers and already a two-time ACC performer of the week, will compete in both the long and triple jump in the same meet for the first time this outdoor season. He will begin the long jump competition at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Friday night and the triple jump at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
