2023 NCAA Men’s Formchart #3 — Arkansas Gap Grows

2023 NCAA Men’s Formchart #1 — New Hogs Rule

Carey McLeod was a scorer for Tennessee at last year’s NCAA but this time around is tabbed to rack up 11 big points for team favorite Arkansas. (ROBERT BLACK)

A 6-POINT FAVORITE in our first formchart of the year, field-strong Arkansas doubled that margin in our second set of projections and has added 3 more in the crystal ball’s third iteration of the year.

Chris Bucknam’s powerful Hog crew actually lost 2 points from its projection, but previous runner-up Tennessee lost 11 and is now in 4th. The Vols figure to have a tight battle for 2nd with Texas Tech and Georgia.

There are 10 new event-winners since last time: Udodi Onwuzurike (Stanford) 200, Ryan Willie (Florida) 400, Yusuf Bizima (Texas) 800, Kenneth Rooks (BYU) steeple, Brian Fay (Washington) 5000, Ayden Owens-Delerme (Arkansas) 400H, Florida 4×4, Wayne Pinnock (Arkansas) LJ, Kostas Záltos (Minnesota) HT & Marc Minichello (Georgia) JT.

Our fourth and final chart of the year will appear a few days before the meet kicks off in Austin on June 07.

The 10-deep predictions for each event (‘ = athlete not eligible for U.S. international teams):
