Henseler Returns to Panorama Farms for NCAA Championships

PITTSBURGH – After a dominant performance at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships last weekend, senior Luke Henseler is set to race at the NCAA Cross Country Championships at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Va. Saturday morning. The men’s 10K championship race will start at 11:10 a.m.

Henseler’s fifth place finish at Regionals was the highest finish by a Panther in program history, besting Jack Miller’s seventh place finish from a year ago. Henseler’s personal best time of 29:30.3 earned him All-Region honors for the second time in his career.

This will be Henseler’s second time competing in the NCAA Cross Country Championships. Last year’s race was held at the OSU Greiner Family Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Okla., where Henseler finished in 195th place in a field of 252 of the best runners in the country.

Henseler has historically run well at Panorama Farms. Earlier this season, the Panthers competed in the XC23 Pre-Nationals, hosted by Virginia at Panorama Farms on October 14th. Henseler had a strong outing on the course, running a new personal best in the 8K. Prior to that, Henseler ran his current 6K personal best at the 2022 Virginia Invitational, which also took place on the Panorama Farms course.
