Did you watch the World Indoors on March 1-3, 2024?

Well, you should! All of these athletes began their careers with local clubs (the gold medalist in the long jump was discovered jumping over park benches and cars!), and found something that they loved.

Enjoy your competitions today! Good luck. You are in great shape, and we will help you get faster and stronger over the next couple of months.

Elle returned to the World Indoor just two years later and took gold in the 3,000 meters in Glasgow on March 2, 2024!

Today, March 16, 2024, is a race day.

Warm up well,

If you are doing relays, try the 1200m, 800m, and 400m. All three would be great preps for later in the season!

If not a relay, try the 3200m and 1600m double. See if you can kick in both, on last lap.

Take 30 minutes and cool down slowly.

Hydrate,

Stretch,

Larry’s Deep Thoughts: What Elle St. Pierre did is inspiring. Just over a year ago, she gave birth to her baby boy, Ivan. Elle and her family live in Vermont, and she goes down to Boston to train with her coach, Mark Coogan, a 1996 Olympian. In a series with 4 races, Elle ran a 3,000m, less than a half second off her PB. The next week, she ran the Millrose Mile, setting a new AR of 4:16.83! The following week, Elle won a 3,000m, going fast over the last 1k. Finally, two weeks later, Elle St. Pierre went by the 5,000m World record holder, Gudaf Tsegay, and upsets Gudaf to take gold! Amazing story!
