Scotland teams picked for Antrim Coast Half Marathon in August

John and Mhairi win Scottish Half Marathon titles

Scotland teams have been selected for an international road race event later this summer.

Eight athletes have now been picked for the Antrim Coast Half Marathon race in Northern Ireland on Saturday 25 August.

John Bell (Inverclyde AC) and Mhairi Maclennan (Inverness Harriers) won Scottish Half Marathon championship golds in Inverness in March and are picked for Antrim. Mhairi of course made a strong debut in the marathon at the London Marathon.

Sean Chalmers set a club record for Aberdeen AAC with a 10k performance last week at 29:38 at the Metro Aberdeen Beach 10k.

Scotland men:

John Bell (Inverclyde); Sean Chalmers (Aberdeen); Lewis Hannigan (Kilbarchan); Ryan Thomson (Cambuslang)

Scotland Women:

Virginia Barrand (Metro Aberdeen); Mhairi Maclennan (Inverness); Natasha Philips (Dundee); Annabel Simpson (Fife)
