On Sunday, September 29th, the Run/Walk To Save a Life 5K will take place on an out and back course on the Farmington Canal Trail beginning at the Multisports Academy, 109 Sanford Street in Hamden, CT. There will be two waves. One for runners at 8:30am and another for Walkers, Strollers and People with Dogs at 8:40am.

This event is held in the honor of Notre Dame West Haven coach Rich Andreozzi’s son, Christopher, who passed away suddenly from sudden cardiac death caused by an arrhythmia on May 23, 2023.

Chris was a lifelong resident of Hamden who graduated from Hamden High, Trinity College and Yale University. He was a devoted psychiatric APRN at Yale New Haven Hospital and Turnbridge and was passionate about the care of his patients and believed that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome (SADS).

Health care workers will be on site to educate you on how to perform CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and CPR
