Roberts Named ACC Track Performer of the Week – Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site

CLEMSON, S.C. — Giano Roberts was named the ACC men’s track performer of the week, the conference announced on Tuesday. It is the second consecutive week in which a Tiger has garnered the honor (Kiara Grant), and Roberts is the fifth Tiger this season to earn the title.

Roberts improved upon his 60 meter hurdles personal best twice on Saturday at the Bob Pollock Invitational. He ran a 7.67 in prelims to earn a spot in the finals, where he set the mark even higher at 7.66. That time is the fastest of any collegiate athlete this season.

Roberts, who finished ninth at the 2022 Indoor National meet in the event, is now No. 4 all-time in Clemson history in the 60 meter hurdles.

The Tigers will hit the road this weekend for the VT Challenge in Blacksburg, Va. before returning home for the prestigious Tiger Paw Invitational on Feb. 11 and 12. ACC Championships are set to take place on Feb. 23-25 in Louisville, Ky.
