B.A.A. High Performance Team adds NCAA All-Americans Jenna Magness, Bethany Hasz, and Megan Hasz

 

BOSTON – The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) today announced that NCAA All-Americans Jenna Magness, Bethany Hasz, and Megan Hasz have joined the B.A.A. High Performance Team. All three athletes will be coached by B.A.A. High Performance Coach Mark Carroll and will train in Boston. The B.A.A.’s High Performance Team is sponsored by adidas.

 

“The B.A.A. welcomes collegiate standouts Jenna Magness, Bethany Hasz, and Megan Hasz to the High Performance Team, B.A.A. Running Club and the New England running community,” said Coach Carroll, a two-time Olympian for Ireland. “Jenna, Bethany, and Megan showcased their talents in cross-country and on the track with school records, conference titles and NCAA All-American Performances. We are excited for the next phase of their journey as they begin their professional careers here in Boston.”

 

Magness joins the B.A.A. after a decorated career at Michigan State University, where she earned six NCAA All-America honors, numerous All-B1G Ten accolades and was named USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Athlete of the Year for both indoor track and cross country. This year she placed third at the 2022 NCAA Track & Field Championships 10,000m (running a lifetime best 32:59.96), and successfully defended both B1G Ten 5,000m conference titles indoors and outdoors. She also won the B1G Ten 10,000m conference title in May, and finished sixth at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships 5,000m. Magness is a Michigan State school record holder (5,000m, indoors and out), a five-time B1G Ten Champion and a two-time George Alderton Female Athlete of the Year at MSU.

 

“I’m very excited to be joining the Boston Athletic Association and being surrounded by such a high performing group of athletes. I’m looking forward to being coached by Mark Carroll and seeing myself grow as a runner,” said Magness. “I’m grateful for the support from adidas and the B.A.A. for the opportunity to chase my dreams and accomplish my goals in the coming years.”

 

Sisters Bethany and Megan Hasz both come to the B.A.A. after graduating from the University of Minnesota. As a Golden Gopher, Bethany Hasz set multiple school records and earned All-American honors in both cross country (twice) and track and field (four times).
