With just thirteen days to go until the 116th Millrose Games, preparations for this iconic event are nearly complete. The action both on the track and in the field will be spectacular, especially with a pair of high-caliber women’s events now being announced: the 300m and the High Jump.

The nearly sold out Millrose Games will take place at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory on Sunday, February 11th.

On the track, the 300m is headlined by six-time Irish national record holder Rhasidat Adeleke. Adeleke was the 2023 NCAA 400m champion, and she placed fourth at the Budapest World Championships. Just 21 years old, the sky is the limit for Adeleke, who is also a three-time European Junior Champion.

The athletes lining up to challenge Adeleke include:

Talitha Diggs, the 2022 US and NCAA 400m champion.

Candace McLeod, Olympic bronze medalist on the 4x400m relay for Jamaica.

Leah Anderson, who placed third at last year’s Millrose Games.

In the field as previously announced, Yaroslava Mahuchikh, Ukraine’s defending World Champion and Olympic bronze medalist, will star in the high jump. Her main challenge will come in the form of Vashti Cunningham, who won this event the last two times it was contested at Millrose. Cunningham is also a former World Indoor Champion and World Outdoor bronze medalist.

Other competitors in the high jump include:

Charity Griffith, the 2023 NCAA champion from the University of Kentucky.

Safina Sadullayeva from Uzbekistan, Olympic finalist and Asian Games champion.

Kim Williamson, a seven-time Jamaican champion.

Nawal Meniker from France, a finalist at last summer’s World Championships.

Stay tuned over the final days before the 116th Millrose Games, as the world-class start lists are completed. Top athletes already confirmed to compete include Yared Nuguse, Laura Muir, Elle Purrier-St. Pierre, Dina Asher-Smith, Julien Alfred, Hobbs Kessler, Alicia Monson, Grant Fisher, Danielle Williams, Josh Kerr, Cooper Teare, Christian Coleman, Andre De Grasse, Nia Ali, Chris Nilsen, and KC Lightfoot, with even more Olympians and World Championship medalists still to come.
