The Portland Track Festival is on June 8 and 9. This iconic event has a truly distinct following of elite athletes and long-time and new fans and is managed by the Portland Track Club! This meet delivers year after year! In 2021, I was fortunate enough to visit the meeting and was so happy to see our sport surviving and thriving in the pandemic environment.

The 2024 Portland Track Festival will take place on Saturday, June 8th, and Sunday, 9th, with the most talented fields ever assembled. A record number of 1,067 athletes will line up in Portland, Oregon.
Saturday
Events will take place at Mt Hood Community College (3601-3667 NE 17th St, Gresham, OR 97030) beginning at 5:30pm PDT.
5:30PM: HS & Masters 2000m Steeplechase Open Heats of 800m and 5000m
8:00PM: High Performance heats of 300m steeplechase and 10000m. The top sections are WA Bronze Level.
Entry into the Saturday night sections is free to the public.
The Women’s Steeplechase will feature Indian national record holder Parul Chaudhary, 2026 Olympian Colleen Quigley, and USA World Championship competitor Allie Ostrander. Brooks Beast, Kayley Delay, and a Pan American Games Silver medalist will also compete.
In the men’s steeplechase, defending US Champion Kenneth Rooks will face defending Portland Track Festival Steeplechase winner Benard Keter. Indian national record holder Avinash Sable, Canadian Olympian John Gay, and American record holder and Olympic Silver medalist Evan Jager will also compete.
Danielle Polerecky, McKenna Myler, and Katie Izzo will compete for the title in the IncubatorU Women’s 10000m race.
The Maurten Men’s 10000m race will feature 2021 champion and Japanese marathon great Suguru Osaka, Japanese 10000m ace Yuto Imae, 27:08 man Sam Chelanga, and World Cross Country Team USA runner Andrew Colley.
Sunday
On Sunday, events will take place at Lincoln High School in downtown Portland (1750 SW Salmon St, Portland, OR 97205).
The Portland Track Festival is known for its rich history of competitive racing, celebrating hard-fought victories and incredibly deep fields.
