Wildcats Cap Successful Season at NCAA Championships


EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Arizona Track and Field finished the season at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon Friday.

The men’s 4×100 relay team was disqualified for being out of its zone to conclude a historical season that was capped on Wednesday with a new program-best 38.75 to qualify for today’s final.

In today’s triple jump finals, Sir Jonathan Sims finished 23rd with a leap of 14.97m (49-1½). 

Highlighting the week overall was the Second-Team All-American performance by Yan Vazquez in the 400m hurdles on Wednesday. 

Arizona concludes the regular season with an NCAA Championships appearance for the seventh time in the last eight years.
