Thirty-Two Individual Nittany Lions and One Relay Team Qualify for NCAA East Prelims


UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State track and field teams will have 32 individual student-athletes and one relay team compete at the NCAA East Prelims set in Bloomington, Ind., as announced by the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee Thursday.

The men’s team had 16 individual athletes and one relay team selected, while the women’s team is set to have 16 athletes representing the Blue and White from May 25-28. A late addition of Ka’mere Day brought the men’s total up from an original 15 athletes competing.

NCAA East Prelim participants will compete for a chance to move on to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. from June 8-11. The Nittany Lions had five student-athletes advance from East Prelims in 2021.

The following Penn State student-athletes are set to compete next week in Bloomington, Ind.:
