Two Tigers Set Top-10 Program Marks in Pair of Texas Meets


COLUMBIA, Mo. – Two Tigers recorded top-10 program marks as the University of Missouri track and field team competed during day one of the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational on Thursday.

Sydney Oberdiek recorded the program’s fifth-best distance in the hammer throw at the relays with a personal best mark of 61.55m (201-11).

At the Bobcat Invite, Kaia Harris claimed fourth in the discus at 53.60m (175-10). The distance also ranks her fifth-best all-time in the event.

TEXAS RELAYS

BOBCAT INVITATIONAL

  • Mitch Weber claimed third in the men’s discus with a season-best distance of 57.01m (187-0)
  • Rece Rowan (50.73m/166-5) and James Petko (48.60m/159-5) followed behind Weber in the event
  • Emily Offenheiser placed 15th in the women’s discus at 46.74m (153-4)
  • Ames Burton posted a mark of 37.09m (121-8) in the discus

UP NEXT

The Tigers will be back in action on Friday for day two of the respective Texas meets. The relays will be streamed live on ESPN+.
